Announcing Typhoon Etiquette

Typhoon Etiquette will be published by Verve Poetry Press in April 2019.

Katrina wrote the Japanese-themed pamphlet after receiving an Arts Council Artists’ International Development Fund award, spending six weeks travelling in Japan. During the trip, she walked in Basho’s footsteps, travelling to northern Japan, worked with Yamanashi Prefectural University and carried out translation work. She also ate lots of vegan sushi, found a love of sumo and found that singing Shirley Bassey songs loudly is very off-putting to bears.

Katrina NaomiTyphoon Etiquette is available to pre-order, priced at £7.50 (UK), with free postage.

Typhoon Etiquette will be Katrina’s sixth poetry publication. She is working on her third full collection, which will be published by Seren in 2020. Click here to see Katrina’s full range of poetry collections.
