Katrina Naomi and Japanese poetry

Katrina Naomi will be publishing a pamphlet of Japanese-inspired poetry, Typhoon Etiquette, in April 2019 with Verve Poetry Press. Katrina wrote Typhoon Etiquette during a six-week trip to Japan, following an Arts Council Artist’s International Development Fund award. Watch this space for details of various launch events.

Katrina will be reading from Typhoon Etiquette in Bristol on Sat 2 March 2019 at Hours from 7 to 9 pm. She will be reading with award-winning poets Rachael Boast and Holly Corrfield-Carr. There’s also an open mic. Click here for more information on the reading. Tickets are £5/£4 concessions.

Katrina will also be running a day’s workshop on Sat 2 March called ‘Beyond the Haiku’, which will focus on Japanese poetry.  Katrina will look at both contemporary Japanese poetry and traditional forms. Come prepared to discuss and to write. The day’s workshop costs £50. You can book here. Places are limited.
