Katrina’s Poem On The Underground

Katrina Naomi’s poetry is on Poems on the Underground.

Her poem, ‘Diary’, is currently on London tube trains. The poem is from her first collection, The Girl with the Cactus Handshake.

Katrina says: ‘I still can’t quite believe that my poem is on the tube. I always love reading the Poems on the Underground. The poem is quite a personal one, responding in a slant way to the death of my mum. My mum would be amazed to see her diary up here.’

  1. I really loved this poem. I’ve normally got my head in a paper or my phone on the tube, but looked up the other day and there it was. Thank you!

  2. I’m an English teacher and saw this on the tube – I immediately loved it and am on here as I took a note to check this poem out further. I’m going to use this as an ‘unseen poem’ with my year 11s to see what they think of it. I know they’ll love it!
